Compared to the landslide in the background, this large redwood was visually dwarfed. This was allegorically interesting to me, as I'm often overwhelmed by the idea of the individual versus the surrounding world.
Photographed using a Graflex Crown Graphic 4x5 camera and Kodak Ektar 127mm f/4.5 lens with red #24 filtration. Image printed on Kentmere fiber-based paper. Accolades:
