Last spring, I drove from Boulder to California with Sarah Paz Hyde, a fellow large format photographer and one of my best friends. While we never made it to the conference we had planned to attend, we experienced something much more exciting on the open road. We spent 12 days in Sarah's Honda CR-V, added nearly 3200 miles to her odometer, and photographed every day. This image made under the Santa Cruz Wharf was one of my favorite moments, aligning place and moment into a beautiful memory.
Photographed using a Graflex Crown Graphic 4x5 camera and Kodak Ektar 127mm f/4.5 lens. Image printed on Kentmere fiber-based paper. Selective bleaching utilized.Accolades:
